How to reduce bloating?

Now that I'm getting closer to my goal weight, I've started to notice that I have a major problem with abdominal bloat and not just around TOM....what can I do to help reduce it? I drink tons of water, I never net less than 12 8oz cups a day. Thanks!

  • Do you drink a lot of milk or use lots of dairy products? I was always feeling bloated so i quit all dairy about a month ago and I feel great. I'm not telling you to cut out a major food group but that is what worked for me. Good luck
  • You might want to watch your salt intake and also if you're drinking things like carbonated beverages which can cause bloat. Lots of high fiber foods can also contribute to bloating--broccoli, cauliflower, apples, etc...
Don't cut those out of course, just see if maybe you're eating a lot of those.
Continue to drink a lot of water, and exercise will also help (sweating out the salt and water).

No answers I'm afraid but I am exactly the same. I've lost 2 stone and am at a weight where I should look good but I don't as I am bloated. I'm trying green tea but not sure if it helps yet!

I do consume a lot of dairy...I have wondered if it could be a problem as one of my kiddos is extremely intolerant of dairy. I may try out a dairy-free diet and see if that helps. Thanks!

I feel you! I've lost 55 lbs so far, and I'm loving the look of my arms and legs, but man this belly bloat is killer! It looks fine some days and some days it's awful!

One of the major causes of stomach bloat is salt intake. Maybe you're eating an excess amountof salt in your foods? Try to lessen the sodium, see if that helps.

    try reducing intake of grains/dairy/legumes.

try swapping any breads for rice/corn cakes. swapping some dairy for coconut creams/milks and make dairy free smoothies.

    Less salt and dairy.

    More raw fruits and vegetables.

Try hot tea with 1/4 of lemon with peel squeezed into it after your meals.
