Emotional Eating

I'm mildly stressed right now due to normal, everyday activities and a big event coming up at work. I have been prone to minor anxiety attacks in the past and am on medication for them (with additional medication available as needed, which is seldom). The last few weeks I've been feeling "on edge" more often than not. The anxiety feels like it is just welling up inside and waiting for a reason to rear its ugly head.

My point is a lot simpler than this description: Anxiety and other emotions trigger my eating. How do you deal with emotional eating episodes? This feeling has derailed me more times than I can count, and I'm struggling to get back to work after 24 pounds down. I have a LOT more to go.

I can't say I deal with emotional eating because I often am swept away by it ....
But I can say this much... planning in advance is helpful.
Protein, veggies and fruits.... and keeping crap out of work and home spaces..
Those things help to insulate me somewhat from making bad choices.
Also, dealing with stress by doing intense cardio or exercise... burns the stress away...
being able to burn the stress through doing something vigorous can help me also.

    Hope those suggestions are helpful...
