Please help with Polar FT4 HRM

Dear MFPers,

I can't seem to get through the user setup of my new FT4 HRM bought off of Amazon. Is my battery dead or did I get a dud? I press one of the buttons to get it to come on, but then as I am entering the info it just goes off. Please give me suggestions on what to do before I pack this back up and return it!!

    Sounds like a dud to me! I'd just send it back.

    I'm carefully packing it back up right now, thank you. I'm so disappointed, was really looking forward to the new toy.

    Yeah something is wrong with it. I have the ft4. Once you get the working one you're gonna love it. it works great!

    I have that one too and I sometimes experience a short delay in getting it to read my heart rate when I start up, but mostly it works easily and fine, so I hope you get your new one quickly!
