Hi guys! Long time lurker, first time poster.
Issue is: I am not noticing any results!
My diet hasn't been bad MOST of the time prior to starting MFP, it was more binge eating huge calories a few times a week and portion sizes.
But now: I have been tracking calories etc. for around 45 days now. I log most things, and average around 1000 - 1300 calories, realistically I'm eating a bit over that so 1200 - 1500 a day on average once I add the little snacks here and there, alcohol etc. but 100% confident I am not eating over 1500 calories 6/7 days of the week.
Been going to the gym 3 - 5 days a week for around three weeks, I have a PT so work fairly hard (about three days of 15 min x treadmill warm up and 40mins of weight machines/lunges/squats etc and then 1 - 2 days of treadmill, 4% incline at 5.5km/hr.)
So I think I am working quite hard! I weigh around 220lbs, female, 23, so have a fair bit of weight to lose.
Trouble is I am barely noticing a difference. I feel "better," like I am doing the right thing, exercising etc., but my clothes aren't looser, people don't notice, I feel I look exactly the same in the mirror.
It's very very disheartening because I feel I am working really hard, and getting no results.

I would think not enough food if you are tracking and measuring accurately. I eat 1800 cals a day and still lose. (And i am 194 pounds and a lot older then you lol)0

It takes a while for you to notice a difference. What I would recommend is logging EVERYTHING you put in your mouth for a week. Sometimes we cheat ourselves when we don't do this thinking that a soda, a bag of chips, or even a handful of almonds wouldn't add up to much. After a week of loging everything you eat you will get a better idea of whats going on.
I will tell you when I first started it felt like eternity for me to notice. The only way I could really tell a difference is before and after pictures. I take a picture once a week in the same clothes. Sometimes the difference is so small that those that see you every day won't notice but looking at the pictures will show the progress. My first break thru was noticing my bra was fitting looser....that was a big bummer for me! LOL0 -

How can you be 100% sure if you are not logging EVERYTHING? Little snacks and alcohol can add up to a lot of calories. Log absolutely everything.
Also, are you eating 1000 to 1300 or netting that? You should be eating back your exercise calories if that is your total intake.0 -

log everything and be honest. there is seriously no way to know why you aren't getting results if you don't actually know what your intake is. leaving out just a couple of things a day can negate any deficit you thought you had. you mention alcohol... a couple of drinks can put you over. LOG IT ALL.0 -

more than a week. a few weeks.0 -
Weigh your food. Log everything as honestly as you can.
ETA: I wasted a very long time not weighing my food and lying to myself about portion size. I didn't think there was any way I could possibly be underestimating my calories that much. I plateaued for 1 1/2 years, then gained 20 lb back. Since I've been weighing my food and logging everything starting mid January, I've lost 13 lb.0 -

I'm in a very similar situation as you! I've been working on exercising for the past month as well as trying to focus on eating better. I don't have money for the gym, so I've been doing my own stuff (walking, sit ups, free weights, etc). I can feel a difference in my energy levels, in how I 'feel', and I can feel that I'm losing fat in my tummy, my calves are becoming much more defined, etc. However, the scale and tape measure don't say I've lost ANYTHING! (Actually gained a couple pounds). So on one hand it's really frustrating, but on the other I can FEEL a difference. If you FEEL better, then you are probably doing the right thing. I would suggest making sure you drink enough water (at first you will feel like you are drinking water like a fish, but that's ok); water is essential to losing weight. Other than that, make sure you are getting enough protein; protein helps your body both build and repair muscles from working out. I would keep doing what you're doing, you sound like you have a solid plan for exercising! This, unfortunately, takes time; so please don't give up! Keep up the great work!

As already said by others log everything you consume, if you have to estimate it then go for the higher option. Don't get dispondent.0

Awesome replies, I agree I'll log everything and see how we go0

You've lost 10 kg in 45 days? That's not "no results." You may not be losing fat where you want to lose it - yet - but 10 kg in a month and a half is very good progress.
I know how you feel, though. It took a loss of about 25 lb before I went down a jeans size and that was the only gauge of progress that mattered to me at the time.0
