Will I Really Lose More?

Will I really lose more if I up my calories? Most days I do not net 1000, even though my goal is 1200. Today I bumped it up to 1350. I feel like maybe I am not eating enough. Please help! :grumble:

I have read this a million times and I do not get it!!! The numbers completely baffle me!!! Please help me figure it out!!! I am 38 years old, 5'4.5" and 160 lbs. I teach third grade so I am on my feet a lot. I try to work out about 3-5 times a week, 30 Day Shred, for now. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!0 -
You don't have a lot to lose.
BMR: 1467 (you need to stay above this number)
TDEE: 2273 (to maintain your weight)
TDEE minus 10% (cause you don't have a lot to lose): 2046 calories
That's a half a pound week, slow and steady is healthy weight loss!!

Oh my gosh! That seems SO high!!! I think that's what scares me. I am trying to lose 20-25 pounds, by the way.0
