Is Korean Kimbap really fattening?

Hello! I'm Bri and I'm new to this site~
I made some kimbap for dinner and for my first time, it turned put pretty good. I only had canned tuna in my pantry for the filling though. Anyways! I was wondering how fattening it is? I haven't had the chance to exercise tonight so I'm slightly anxious about it. I ate about 1 and a half rolls. I made it with white rice since I HATE brown rice.

I'm not sure, but I definitely gained weight before from eating too much delicious Korean food (course I was also making a lot of pizza, cheese stuffed bread, cookies, etc, lol!). I routinely made "dak kang jung" served with rice, which is delicious fried chicken coated in a sweet and sticky sauce. So basically fat covered in sugar, lol! Not exactly the best choice, but it's SOOO good. I love the recipes from Maangchi, she's wonderful!

*edit: I wouldn't worry about a couple rolls, I'm sure that won't make much of a difference. It actually sounds like a really healthy choice. White rice also gets a lot of flack, but I recently learned that it's actually just as good, if not better for you than brown rice! So don't sweat it, those thin people in Asia live off of white rice and they're doing splendidly. ^_^0 -
I don't think 1.5 rolls is fattening... as long as you're meeting your calorie goals, I wouldn't worry about it. Plus, since you're the one who is making them, you can control how much rice, oil, and filling goes in them... so if you're worried about it, you can reduce some of the ingredients. Anyway, my mom eats them regularly (2 fat rolls at a time) as a snack, and she isn't fat.0

Since you made them wouldn't you know the calories? I assume that means you haven't made friends with the recipe builder yet? Find it, use it, love it. :flowerforyou:0

Was just going to suggest this. The kimbap nutritional information in the MFP database is all over the map (I'm half Korean and love kimbap, bibimbap, kimchi, bulgogi, manduguk, etc.). << suddenly feeling faint...>>0 -
It all depends how much & what you put on it. I heard the ones that you would buy from the stores are around 500 cals per roll, but that is also because they tend to put a lot of sesame oil & whatnot into it.
If you aren't putting too much rice, oil, & mayo with your turna then it should be fine.0
