Hey guys!
I wonder if anyone had any ideas for pasta sauces! I usually have pasta dry as I am very fussy! But it really is getting boaring now!
I try to eat as clean as I can! Any ideas I would be greateful!

  • Not sure it's exactly clean, but I melt down some cream cheese and add some pesto to it then add the pasta when i'm after a quick fix, sometimes I might add mushrooms instead. Or why not do a Ratatouille with it?

How about this as a change to pasta too? http://foodandfitness.co.uk/fat-loss-friendly-spaghetti-noodles/

Name all the foods you don't hate.....maybe someone can come up with a sauce for you.

If you can get good fresh tomatoes, this is a favorite:

2 cups chopped tomatoes (about 2 large--if tomatoes aren't in season, use the equivalent of halved grape tomatoes or quartered cherry tomatoes)
    2-3 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic or wine vinegar
chopped fresh herbs to taste (dried is okay, but fresh is soooooo yum)
    2-3 chopped green onions
1/2 cup crumbled cheese: feta, crumbly blue, goat cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
    8 ounces pasta

Mix tomatoes, oil, vinegar, herbs, green onions, cheese, and salt and pepper (if using) in a large bowl and let it all mingle while the pasta cooks. Drain pasta when done, do not rinse, and add hot to tomato mixture. Stir it around so the cheese melts a little and sticks to the pasta.

You can also add chopped veggies to the pasta water a few minutes before it's done: summer squash, asparagus, etc. Or cook them separately and add at the end, or very thinly slice them and don't cook them at all. It's all good.

Use the recipe builder for exact calorie count depending on options you choose.
