how long have you been trying to lose weight?

I just came across a diary of mine from when I was 16. This was my first time losing weight, and I went from 70 kg to 63 kg. I am 5'3" so it was a big change. I was obsessing on how to get to 60 kg, with an ultimate goal of 55kg.
Well, 16 years later I now maintain a weight of just under 60 kg! However, for most of those 16 years I was about 65-67 kg.
Glad to finally be at my goal weight, of course, now I actually understand nutrition, portion control, and what works for my body.

I first started about 7 years ago or so when I joined Weight Watchers. I did have sucess with it as long as I stuck to it. I got lazy, which is the easiest way to put it, when it came to tracking. I would gain 3, lose 1, etc. and my weight slowly started creeping up a bit again. I started with MFP about 5 weeks ago and have had pretty good success so far!!0
