Heavy lifting late 40's/50's

Have any of you ladies that are in your late 40's early 50's had good results from heavy lifting would love to become stronger & leaner pics would be good but happy with info cheers in advance

    I've recently started the Starting Strength program. I also started using kettlebells a few months ago and have had great results.
    Actually developing some nice muscles. I don't have pics-not ready yet but I also don't have a lot of weight to lose so my progression may be a bit slower. I've also read the New Rules of Lifting for Women and both books are very useful-the Starting Strength book is written more to a male audience and very technical so you may enjoy the NROL4W better. I hope to have a bikini bod ready for the summer!

    Bump - Would love to see what others have to say - I'm in my early 50's and looking at New Rules for Lifting for Women...
