    In past relationships, I just go for something they either would really enjoy, or something extra they need but haven't gotten yet. Some guys like useful/practical gifts. For one guy, I got him an Xbox 360 that he kept at my house (his family had one, but it officially belonged to his Dad only) and Bioshock 2. I got another guy I dated a brand new LCD computer monitor, his was on the fritz but he hadn't justified the cost of replacing it yet. You know your guy, so you'll figure it out. :)

    Wow, I'm so easy to shop for its silly. That being said, I don't know your boyfriend like you do. So I can only really speak to what I would like. Also, I see sex is a common answer. If sex is a special occasion in anyone's relationship, I'm sorry. So, carnal desires aside...

    1. Some silly toy (Yup, still like them at 34. Thinkgeek.com)
    2. An adventure of some sort Bonus, creates great memories as a couple (Example, Segway tour, river rafting, skydiving etc.)
    3. Tickets to something he's into.
    4. A pampered day. This will take a bit more effort but it shows you put some thought and care into it.
    5. Lessons, for something he's always wanted to try.
    6. Maybe he hasn't seen one of his good friends in a while and you work behind the scenes to set up a day for them to do whatever they like.

    Food for thought: Gifts are cool but something that makes a lasting memory or great story... timeless.

    As for what to get him, what does he really like that just doent' get much of a chance to get/do? Something that reminds you both of one of your best times in your relationship.. Now you said besides sex, sooooo LOTS OF SEX!!!!!

    Sex for my birthday? Really? LOL. And maybe on holidays too? LMAO. Sex as a gift kinda kills it for me, no offense - unless you are going to do something really special or exotic.

    A special home cooked meal is nice or dinner out (you buy). Gifts aren't really necessary, but speaking for myself, I like books or special foodstuffs, etc. Nothing big. It's just another birthday.
