I'm 5'9 and I currently weight about 160lbs. I started out at 215lbs after having my son. I officially began logging in my weight loss progress in mid January. I try to do cardio about 5 times a week and I also sometimes do circuit training following the Jillian Michaels shred DVD. My goal weight is 145lbs. I wanted to lose so much weight so fast but I realized that a loss was a loss whether it was 1 pound or 4 pounds. Stay focused and stay motivated. And no matter if you go off your calories just stay moving and work out. Best of luck**0

I am just starting my weight loss journey. Im 50 yrs old and am wanting to shed some pounds. I see a lot of awesome success stories. What is the key to all of your successes? I recently started the HCG diet. Which is only like 500-600 cal a day for 40 days. I also started going to the gym doing 30 min of Arc Trainer and about 30 min. of weight training. Gotta lose this flat tire!

I'm not sure how to embed pictures, so go check out my profile pics! I have a collage up of when I was in college at my heaviest weight, which I'm guestimating was around 220 lbs (I didn't have a scale!). I wore a size 16 in pants, 12/14 in dresses typically (I'm very pear shaped!)
I'm 5'8 1/2" and now weigh around 150 (give or take a few lbs depending on the day). Depending on the brand, I wear a size 6/8 pant and usually a 4/6 dress!
I'll admit, it took me a while to do it. I lost 20 lbs in a year moving out of dorms from college and cooking more for myself instead of eating out. Another 20 went off when I started using MFP and tracking calories. Another 20 when I started exercising (mostly just running). And the final 10-15 lbs has been from adding weight training.
My biggest advice, don't plan to lose the weight overnight! My journey down 70ish pounds has been over the course of a few years. Granted, it can be done a lot quicker, but I made healthy choices in changing my lifestyle when it was right for me. Listen to your body and take care of it! It will love you back and make you look great!
YOU *CAN* DO IT!0 -

I'm currently 151lbs (5"6). I was about 225 a little over a year ago. My goal weight is 130. I NEVER stepped foot in a gym once throughout my journey, I owe my success to Zumba DVDs and MFP!
