Done it before....can I do it again?

Hi, I'm a mom of 3 kiddos, I'm 33, and I want to get some of this weight off. I've never been "skinny" but that's okay, I just want to look better and feel better about myself. I've lost weight before with WW or FitDay, but this time I wasn't sure I wanted to fork over the money for WW online since I don't have a smartphone & I think half the benefit of WW online is having access all the time. So I'm trying MFP and hoping I can make some headway. I don't like to do formal exercise, I'd rather go out and mow the yard or something! I've got a lot to lose so here goes nothing....

I love MFP... Gives me the freedom I need... I have lost 9 lbs so far and am going strong.. Good for you for starting your journey! Add me if you want a friend to support you!0

You can do it girl. Get some good music on your phone, take a 20 minute walk a day, stay within your calories & you are home free. I have faith in you0

Having a hard time staying within my calories, seems like a low number. But if I am not even over by 500 I'm probably doing pretty good, especially for the first couple days, right? Need some good ideas for healthy snacks, cause I NEED my evening snack!0

Evening snacks....I do a lot of protein first snacks....greek yogurt, cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs....non protein...popcorn, skinny cow ice cream sandwiches, apples and peanut butter....really anything as long as you have the calories for it. You say your calories are too low? Did you choose the lose 1lb a week or 2lbs a week? You can also customize it and set it where ever you want. I have learned a lot on here...I hope you have success too!0

Good nutritious snack: I'm a chocolate lover, so I enjoy putting 2 Tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder into a 6-oz portion of non-fat sugar free vanilla yogurt, i.e. 100 cals.0

I started Monday. I'm still trying to get a feel for the site. I have never logged in my meals online, it really makes you look at things differently. I too have a lot of weight to drop, the only problem is that I don't have any children to blame my obesity on. At any rate, I wish you much success with your weight loss.0

Yep, skinny cow ice cream......yum!! My boyfriend and I actually share one, you still get a treat but for around 75 calories.
If you are set a 2lb's (?) a week. Try 1lb it doesn't sound like much but it's still 50lb's a year, I could live with that.....0 -
I'm also a Weight Watcher lifetime member. I use both daily. Ive lost less than 10lbs since the first of January and I don't go over my calories nor my points. I stay under and my body has just stopped losing! Yes I'm under my BMI. I don't know how to lose anymore and I want 110 not 1140

I'm in the done it before category as well. If you can find the same groove as before you can do this. For me, it was all mental. You can do this!!0

I have learnt so much from the message board on this site. Thank-you mfp members! I started out with mfp giving me 1200 cals and after hearing different language (tdee, macros, bmr, bmi, etc) I started reading and I've upped my cals and I've lost 5 inches so far in 25 days. This website has worked well for me. If you have time read a bit and post a few questions you have. You will gain so much knowledge from this site, it will be an asset for sure! Good luck on your journey.0
