Hello. I lost about 17 lbs in a month. Sounds like a lot, but I am very disciplined. I eat lean protein (chicken, tuna, turkey breast, egg whites), a lot of fruit and vegetables (more vegetables than fruit). I eat healthy fats from almonds, avacado, fish oil, etc.
For activity, I walk 1 hour per day. I do weight training 3 days a week.0 -
80% is what you eat. I have lost almost 50 with a vegetarian diet. I count every calories, use a digital scale to weigh my food, log all of my food into a computer program, and use the bodybugg armband to tell me exactly how many calories I have burned each day. This way I KNOW for certain how large my calorie deficit and activity levels are for each day.0

I do cardio 4-5 times a week for 35-45 minutes and lift light weights twice a week -- my cardio is either jogging, elliptical trainer or workout DVDs. I workout at 3 or 4pm on weekdays, and just whenever I get to it on weekends. For my diet, I make two large meals on Sunday night and prep lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, so my husband and I have healthy meals and snacks all week. I make regular dishes, like soups or enchiladas and beans, and modify the recipes to make them more healthful. I also watch portions really closely -- I measure everything. I found that I lose about 1-2 pounds a week if I eat 1800-2000 calories a day. I started this journey after I had a baby about 16 months ago. I lost 40 pounds in 2012, but I wasn't as strict with my diet. So far this year, I've lost 25 more pounds.0

I still have a ways to go, so I'm doing what I feel I can continue for life. I stay within my calorie goals, but don't deprive myself. Of i want a treat I have it, knowing that those calories will be deducted from my daily total. I do interval training at the gym three days per week and water jogging two days, plus Zumba 1-3 days per week.0

When I was losing, I worked out 4-5 times per week in the late afternoon doing Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home DVDs (wish I'd known about strength training back then - would definitely have done it too). I would typically do 2 miles a day, one a 15 minute mile, and one a faster 12 minute mile. I ate as healthy as possible with a big focus on fresh fruits and vegetables (which I continue to do!). I lost the weight over the course of 6 months (about 49 lbs).0

My diet varies, I just keep it averaged out to less than TDEE over a week.
Getting my protein up over 100 grams a day is still a work in progress. I ran once or twice a week while losing. I haven't go e for a run in two weeks but I have been starting to lift on alternate days since last week. Really the only thing I did consistently that I can attribute to reaching my goal is keeping my calories down.0 -
