Ingredients:
Sml Handful of Spinach
1/2 - 1 Zucchini
1/2 - 1 Cucumber
1/2 cup Frozen berries
1 -Banana
1 - 1 1/2 cups of Homemade Almond Milk (REALLY easy to make)
1/4 cup - Coconut yogurt
1tbs. - Raw Maca powder
Sml Handful - Almonds
Soaked chia seeds
1 serving (read label) Hemp protein
1tbs - Flax seed + cocoa beans
3-4 Ice Cubes

Put in your power blender and blend...gives you a HUGE energy burst!

Please note that (like all smoothies) this can easily be tweaked. If you don't like something leave it out or substitute with something else. You really can't go wrong with smoothies...there is no science!

ENJOY!

Looks delicious! I do green smoothies everyday in my vitamix. I have a question, I was grinding my chia seeds before adding them, is it better to soak them?

Honestly, I think it is a personal preference, either way you get the same nutritional value...unlike flax seeds, whole chia seeds are digestible, so you can eat them whole. However, if you soak them in water, they form a gel and I feel that the gel is easier to use in drinks, smoothies or to cook with. Someone once told me that soaking them is more nutritious...but I haven't been able to find anything to support that.

Here is how to soak chia seeds:
To soak, place one part seeds into nine parts water for 30 minutes. Some seeds will be left in the gel, but can be incorporated into the final product for the extra nutrition.

    I hope that helps!
