Are you sabotaging your success?

What do you want more? To feel fit, healthy and full of energy or that big piece of cake?

Yes! It's Friday but don't let what you want at this moment sabotage what you REALLY want further down the line. Keep this in mind today and through the weekend.
Who is going to stick with it this weekend?

I feel like my mum is attempting to sabotage me this weekend.

It seems like all I've heard from her today is -
    "Have some more sausage rolls."
"Why don't you help me finish off these mini pasties for lunch?"
"Would you like a cheese straw?"
"You could have some of those sausages for supper."
"If they don't get eaten soon, they're going to go stale."

She only baked it all yesterday! It'll keep.

The company I used to work for has started a Friday boot camp for clients (I go) instead of going out to the inevitable pub lunch. So I avoid the burger/fries, but also burn a lot of calories so I can create a little buffer for some weekend treats.

I REALLY need to stick with it this weekend! It has been a pretty bad week for me (food and exercise wise!) so need to stay focussed. I tend to fall off the wagon when I go to stay at my Mums, she is a terror for buying food each day, so there is nothing in the house until she gets home from work... the temptation is to eat out (where she lives this is just as cost effective as buying food in!) but there are no really healthy options. This is when my calorie intake goes waaaay over what it should be! I will check in with you guys on Monday to let you know how my weekend turned out! ;)

Hahaha, that's so funny. But at least she loves you!

That piece of cake really wont sabotage your success. Plan for it. Make sure you have the calories and the macros for it. Exercise if you don't and you can have a treat once in a while.

    Great Thread :o)
I totally sabotaged my diet last friday with Cheesecake and Pizza for dinner. I thought I deserved whatever I wanted on Friday night for dinner because I had worked sooooo hard all week long.
BIG MISTAKE: I felt so crappy on Saturday and Sunday.
It took my body 3 days to deflate from the excess sodium/sugar.

I'm NOT doing that this weekend.
I'm going to "treat" myself this weekend with a fun bike ride with the kids-and I'm not going to log it as exercise!!

Thanks, needed to hear this today! It all starts with one cheat cookie, one skipped workout and its harder to care thereafter for me.

    Happy Friday everyone!

Can't we just share them? :c

OP, i think it's important to remember that a slice of cake is not evil, celebrating friday with a slice of cake is fine as long as you fit it into your daily allowances :]

    ^^^^^^

Haha! Sounds like my Dad. He goes from saying, "Wow you're looking really nice. You've been working hard!" to..."Come on try the bread/sauce/steak/whatever I just made. You need to eat more!" (Just to clarify...I eat plenty he just wants to stuff me with comfort food:P)

I eyes zoomed in on the word "cake" and now I'm having a sharp craving for something sweet.
