Weight Roller Coaster?

Hello everyone,

I eat my recommended 1200 calories a day, sometime less, sometimes more...either way it always balances out so I am eating what I am supposed to. I work out about 5 days a week doing between a mile and a mile and a half on the eliptical. I eat healthy food for the most part, watch fat grams ect...However there is one thing I dont understand...I always hit my weekly goal of a 2 pound weight loss, but the next day i will step on the scale and will be a pound and a half or 2 pounds heavier! I dont understand this, even though the following week I hit my goal again. Why does my weight go up and down so much? Shouldn't it just be a steady weight loss? Or does the human body take a few days to break food down a digest? Or do some foods just weigh more? I would really appreciate answers. Thanks all!

Its normal for your body weight to flucuate up to 4lbs in a day based on what you eat, water in your system, etc, so tis normal

absolutely normal.... water, sodium, exercise, hormones, all play a big role, thats why you should weigh yourself same time same clothes. first thing in morning after you void your bladder is best... but dont totally worry about daily readings, i weigh every day but only really pay attention to friday morning weigh ins.

    hope that helps...
