Not losing weight while doing insanity but lost on p90X

Ok, I am a bit confused, I did p90X for three weeks and I lost 4 pounds, but I switched to insanity because I got bored of p90X and I remained at the same weight now into my third week with insanity. Insanity is more intense a work out than p90X so I don't understand what is going on. Maybe I should switched between the two, I don't know. I would rather do insanity than p90, but I want to see results, I guess I am talking scale results. I saw both with p90X that is physically and weight results; but I only see see physical results with insanity. Anyone have any ideas that can help with my confusion?

The difference is because P90X is a strength training program with some cardio throw in and Insanity is a cardio program. Muscle burns fat. Period.
Insanity is a harder program with regards to cardiovascular output. It is not a harder program with regards to developing lean muscle mass.0 -
ok, so what you are saying is stick to weight training type of routine in order to see results. I thought Insanity would offer the same results, but using your own body weight.0

From my own personal experience, I have found that I can do cardio workouts out the wazoo and not lose weight, but as soon as I start lifting weights 3 days/week and doing cardio the other 3, it drops. I'm sure other people have had great results with Insanity as a weight loss tool, and while it got me into INCREDIBLE cardiovascular shape, I didn't see much of a weight loss. As soon as I picked up the weights 3 days/week, I started losing again.
Why not do the 3 strength training workouts from P90X each week, and do the recovery week every 4th week, and do the Insanity cardio workouts the other 3 days/week? Best of both worlds...0 -

OK, I will give that a try. I just got real bored of Tony, but if I mix the two it will probably make it much better. Thanks.0
