I am looking to lose 20 lbs by June 26. Is that possible? I have been doing good for a few days, eating right, walking as my excersize (from a small community, we dont have a workout gym), drinking nothing but water. How do you stay motivated to keep going? I have tried in the past to do this but havent lasted long enough to see the goals. My long term goal, if I can stay motivated is to get down to 200. I currently weight 254.

that seems like a big chunk....healthy weight loss is normally 1-2lbs a week....and baby steps are usually better....giving your body & mind time to readjust to a new lifestyle....better than a crash diet. stay honest w/your tracking & your diary.....
i just butter as my rationale....1lb of butter = 4 sticks....so even when you lose a pound...wow...that's 4 sticks of butter off your tush....it's still a big accomplishment....good luck to you, keep your chin up!0 -
That would be 2.5 lbs per week, which is doable, but quite a bit for a sustained weight loss. Just remember, we didn't gain all of our weight in a short period of time and it isn't going to come off as quickly as we want to see it either. The key is making a positive change in your habits, both eating and activity. If you consistently burn more calories than you take in, the weight will come off. It may come off more slowly than you want, but don't let that burn you out. Stick with it and you will get to your goal.0
