Am I Crazy?

Okay...so am I the only woman out there that doesn't want to weigh 100lbs?
I am no way bashing anyone who wants to be that thin, I just don't feel it's for me. I have plenty of friends who are working towards a goal weight with me, but they're goal is to be extremely thin. Mine is simply to get in shape, and lost a bit of weight along the way. I LOVE my curves, and I've earned them! Having children widened my hips, and with weight loss I achieve an hour glass shape, which is what I want. My actual measurement right now allude to an hourglass, 36-29.5-34 and I know with some weight loss the inches will drop some.
I admire women who have the determination and dedication to be super muscular, or weigh 100lbs, but it's just not for me.
But why is my opinion of what I want MY body to be wrong to so many people?

How dare you want a body type that differs from other womens' preferences? Shame on you!
Conform! :drinker:0 -
I love having curves as well-- and men love those womanly curves-- not sticks! All I want gone is my pooch and the muffin top... You go girl-- you have support right here!!0

First of all, you are beautiful in your profile picture.
Women need to worry much less about the goals of other women *****as long as said women plan on reaching those goals in a healthy manner.
As for myself, I LIKE being very thin. It's how I prefer myself. But it's not something I project on to other women. I see women 200 lbs more than me that I think are gorgeous.0 -
I don't know anyone whose goal is 100 pounds but I also like my curves. 44-34-43 right now and shrinking fast but I know my body well enough that those proportions will remain about the same as I continue to lose.0
-
I am 5'4" and I weight 132 lbs. Right now I am focusing on trying to maintain that weight. I am happy where I am right now. Get to where you are happy with yourself. That is the most important thing.0

There's no shame to what you want. I am not looking to be super hard bodied or being thin - but my goal is to hit the mid of my BMI and every time I get there I am told I'm too thin. Unfortunately at my age diabetes rears its ugly head when I gain weight (which is where I'm at). So Kudos to you for going for "Your" goal. :drinker:0

Come here, I'll comfort you.0

Quite a few of my friends who are not around 5'6" have a goal weight of 105.0 -
Are you looking for someone to tell you that your goals are acceptable? If so, of course they are. It's your body. Don't worry about anyone else's plans.0

I dont think its physically possible for me to weigh 100lbs..I dont wish to be "super muscular" either. I just want a decent BF%. Low 20\s might be nice, but I wont know until I get there.0

It's ur body, u have to pay for it.
Do with it what you will :-)0 -
Mayhaps.0

I'm quite short, and I'm not aiming for 100 lbs. I'm aiming to drop my body fat % to low 20's. I have no idea what I will weigh at that point.0

This comment is so unfair to people who are naturally "stick thin"
Not saying that I am a naturally thin person, but when I read comments like this, it boils my blood!!! Its like, OK I wasn't "sexy" when I was 100 pounds heavier, and I am not "what men love" now because I dont have curves... Even still having a high BF%, I have a thigh gap and like, no hips, as I said no curves to speak of (32-30-34) So bascially, no matter what, men won't want me??? ... Ugh comments like this make me go from 0-60!!!
As for OP, you definitely have to do what is right for you! Personally, I just want the best body I can have, noone else has to like it!!!! :flowerforyou:0 -
I feel like some people are just unrealistic, they make goals without truly considering if they are healthy goals or not. I know my body and I know that my boobs are not going anywhere, no matter how much I weigh! That being said, I definitely want to just look healthy and be happy with what I see and I think that differs from person to person.0

My mom was 98 pounds most of her life but she had petite bone structure and she looked too thin naturally. I never looked good at 120 I look gaunt so I aim for 135 and I am perfectly happy at that : )0
-
Not crazy at all. You need to find a size you are happy with and then maintain it.
I am quite a way from what I considered my goal weight at first. I am now revising whether I want to lose more or not. I am eating pretty much what I want, I can buy the clothes I like and am comfortable this size and have stayed this weight for several months so I know it is maintainable.
Question is do I actually want or need to lose more?
Might be nice to have a bit more wiggle room for those heavy calorie days so I think I may try to shift another 10 pounds or so but I am quite happy at this weight.
So you get to choose what weight or size you want to be. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.0 -
Not at all!
Even at 110-115 I will have hips and curves that wont quit.. Im only 4'11 and have always been curvy. I have never ever in my life been a stick lol. Even now I cant even give away my boobs... not that I'd want to cuz I kinda like em lol, but I lost 15 lbs, got re-fitted for bras, went down a band size but up a cup size (D to a DD).0 -

No, absolutely not. They're perfectly acceptable to me.
It's just I literally have been asked by people if I'm sure that what's what I want, or told by some of my friends that I should aim for 115.0 -
I think setting a goal for yourself is great but be flexible about it. I didn't think I'd want to go below 135. When I got there I was happy with my progress but wanted to go farther. Now I'm hovering around 125 and focused more on strength goals. Your goals may or may not change when you get to your goal weight. Just give yourself room to adapt and you'll be fine. And don't spend your time worrying about the goals of other people. What they want is fine as long as it's healthy, and what you want is fine too. :flowerforyou:0

I get questioned both way, am I sure I want to lose more, shouldnt I want to lose even MORE than my goal, why do I want to gain muscle??? I just keep my goals to myself now, because noone else can determine what will make me happy, only I can! besides my goals keep changing, since i have never had a "fit" body, the closer I get I m getting more reasonable about what is right for me.I used to want to get down to 110, now I just want to be in shape! I think keeping your final goals to yourself is the best strategy, at least for me!!0 -

I don't discuss my goals with other people aside from my husband, because I don't want the input. :laugh:0 -

Crazy???? No way. Listen I am an older guy (68yo) and you are beautiful and have a wonderful body. Curves look good on you and your kids should be proud to have such a confident attractive mom.
Keep up the good work.

i do NOT want to be a stick!!! Even when i was 107 i had a booty but i just thought i looked gross...too skinny...i love my curves...ive always had some what of a pair shaped body...i do NOT wanna lose my curves...just define them..i just wanna be healthy and feel amazing no matter what im wearing!!0 -
I totally admire people who put hard work and dedication into being fit ... whether that's at 100 lbs or 130 lbs or WHATEVER
Me ... I'm not gonna me 100 lbs ever lol... I don't ever want to lose my butt or my boobs. I love the hourglass shape. I want to lose some weight in my stomach and thighs aha0 -
100 pounds does not automatically equal "stick." There are hourglass shaped women of all weight ranges. As long as you are happy and healthy, weight/curves/whatever shouldn't matter.0

As a man I have some pretty high standards. I keep a scale in my living room tucked under the rug when they walk in clevery. I also have a height measure. Really anyone under 120 better be like 4'2". Aint nobody got time for a stick. I usually will just tell them , Honey thanks for the pizza, but you really need to go, call me after you be at the gym, lifting. I find that girls appreciate my strait talk cander.0

I hear ya! I wouldn't want to be 100 lbs. either but then I am 5'6" with a medium build. At my skinniest I was not too terribly far from that 100 lb. mark and I was not healthy at all. You do what is good for you and to heck with the haters!0

It would burn some calories on them if you have them run to the kitchen and make you a sammich0
