Binge Eater needs support

Hi there,
I am Jenna, I am 29 years old and I live in Sheffield, England.
I have been using MFP on and off for over a year and in that time I have lost 13 pounds.
I have PCOS and after 2 miscarriages am wanting to try again for our take home baby in a few months time. I have been advised to lose a fair bit of weight by my doctor.
MFP has helped me to review my eating habits and over time has forced me to admit that I am a binge eater. Sometimes as many as 3 times a week I will just scavenge the house for food and quite literally stuff my face until I feel sick. Afterwards I feel really ashamed and low and it is just a circle because when I'm low I eat!
I am being treated for depression which is going well, now I am just looking for some support to get through the habit of binging.
I quit smoking surely I can do this to!!
xxxx

Hang in there Jenna, you won't be on this adventure alone!
Now more important, the Blades or the Owls? :P0 -
I am a binger too! The only way I don't binge is not to buy the food that I will binge on! I even have some cereals that I can't buy because I will eat the full box! I think the best way really is to avoid buying those things that will set off a binge. I am not saying don't have things you enjoy either!!0

Hi Jenna
Does your depression therapy include your eating disorder? If not then perhaps it should. You will get lots of support and 'go girl' comments on here which is fabulous but if you are bingeing then its pretty serious stuff and you need more than MFP. You may find that if you can get through the depression issues then the bingeing will stop but as dealing with depression is no easy thing then thinking about developing different responses to it could also help with the eating problem.
Well done for giving up smoking, I did it and it is haaaard.
You can beat this thing gal, try not to lose heart, it WILL be worth it. xx0
