How old do you have to be to join Planet Fitness?

My 14 year old sister is trying to lose weight like I am, and is planning on joining the Planet Fitness gym. Our mother is always working, and our father has multiple medical problems and is unable to stand for even a short amount of time. Is she able to go to the gym by herself, or is that against the rules?

    Since it may vary from gym to gym, why not just call your local branch and ask them? No matter what someone says here, it may differ from the policy of your particular gym.

    And if you explain the situation, she may be able to take any forms that need to be filled out home to your parents.




    You will probably talk to someone really nice that will help you if you go in.

    Do you have a local Rec center or anything...I happen to have one here that is only like $85 (youth) $125 (adult) for the whole year. And they have everything you need (no personal trainers), and also have racketball, tennis, swimming pools, indoor track etc...

    I signed my 14 year old up for a membership, and have seen younger kids there. Ask at your local PF.
