I think it's very important. I've have had very dry skin for years. After joining MFP, I upped my water intake and now I don't have a problem with that any more. That was visible evidence that my body needed more water.

Its only the most important thing for a persons body. Your body is about 70% water so feed it that. Your body can go only a few days without water but days without food. But make sure its quallity water not chemical infested like tap. I have a reverse osmosis in my home and it takes out all that garbage like fluoride, and metals. I get about a gallon of water a day but thats just me. A good rule of thumb of is at least drink half your body weight in oz. A lot of times people confuse hunger with deydration, if i get a little hunger feeling i drink my water bottle which is about 20 oz and all of sudden im not really hungry anymore i was just thirsty and dehydrated. Water helps with moisture for your skin, hair, etc and helping with the removal of toxins. Water helps take out all those bad things lingering in your body, it may take a while but in the long run its a better option for drinks. plus its calorie free.

I have started intermittent fasting and have found that water is the key to everything. Water actually wards off hunger almost if hunger is brought on by thirst.
