I am reading through a book call 'The New Rules of Lifting For Women'. The cover says 'lift like a man, look like a goddess'. Gives you a schedule to use and a diet plan. I am going to start this program hopefully tomorrow. There is a forum on MFP for this program. There are a lot of different things you can do. Just have to find what works. This book has made a lot of sense to me. So I will give it a go.

I like p90x. If you want a leaner look, you can lift lighter. If you want to build more muscle, use heavier weights. The program is all laid out, so there's no guess work on your part. I use it in combination with running/cardio, but the program contains its own cardio routines, so it is a complete program.

    This.

totally agree! or New Rules of Lifting for Life is the more up to date version of NRL4W - think it's a bit easier to follow and also can be used by total beginner and the experts

cool, is this a book then, or is there a website with the workout plan on it?

    Both, I think?

Also, there is no difference between a workout plan for men/women.

    New Rules series are books

there's loads of info and group here on mfp....that's how i got hooked
also groups on facebook for support, motivation and info

also agree that Jillian Michaels 30ds is not really a weight workout....it's a great workout esp for doing at home alongside weights at the gym
