Body Beast and Women

Hello!! Today I started the Body Beast program (and LOVED every minute of it). Are there any other females on MFP who are currently doing the program? I would love to hear from you. Thanks! :0)

Me! But you already know that. ;)

I'm looking forward to more responses. It'd be fun to encourage and push each other through it!

I doubt there are many if any women on this site that SHOULD be doing body beast. You would be better of starting with a proper beginner routine that has you working at the proper volume and frequency for your training level.

More info on that particular facet can be found here http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=137364463

More info on lifting in general (and eating and losing fat etc.) can be found here http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/686963-large-collection-of-info-for-beginners

Why do you say that they should not be doing body beast?

I'm pretty sure it is a body part split with too many exercises which is the kind of training best done by advanced bodybuilders. Beginner's should start with a 3 day full body routine focused on core compound lifts.

I am a woman, I am doing Body Beast. I am not a bodybuilder. I am loving it! I have lost an inch of my waist and I am seeing great results. I am an Insanity grad who used to hate lifting weights. I personally think that this program is for ANYONE who wants to build muscle and get in shape. Of course... I am not a physician, I am just speaking about my experience. :)

As of right now I own Body Beast but am currently doing a hybrid of Les Mills Pump and Tapout XT, and considering doing Body Beast after the new Asylum Vol 2 comes out. Would love to keep up with your progress though and also to check out your Facebook group. Good luck to you, wish you all the best :D

Question for all of you, are you taking the supplements and powders that come with the program or did you opt out? I have a friend who's doing it but she isn't taking any of the supplements etc...

I am not taking the supplements either. I am drinking Shakeology. I also have some P90X Results and Recovery formula that I am finishing up too.

Thank you for the information. I will check it out. I also wanted to say that this is not my first Beachbody program or my 1st time lifting. I feel that this program is right for ME and I am still enjoying every minute of it. The original question was..Are there any other females doing the program. I am looking for other females doing the program for accountability and so on.

Anyone can do it and get results. Little to no one will get the fastest results from it. I personally like to get the fastest results with the simplest, easiest, least time consuming programming possible.
  • I would love some Body Beast friends!! I just started.

    There is also a group.

  • I realize this is from a while ago, but I'd be curious to know what your results are/were! I'm beginning body beast today and I've been trying to gain insight from women who have done it!

I just got BB. I've been doing ChaLean Extreme lean for life routine for months now and need a change.
Only problem is I really only wanted to lift 3 days a week and this program is 4 to 5 days....not sure how I'm going to modify it. I really want to continue my yoga and running....

I'd also love to hear your results!

I'm currently have 5 weeks of Chalean Extreme to do, but was thinking about switching to Beast.

Also curious about adding in more cardio? Ideally I like to get in a 30 min run 3x's week...
  • I'm currently doing Jaime Eason's LiveFit 12 week program, on week 7 now. I love it.

I've heard great things about Jaime's program but I prefer to workout at home, and don't have the equipment to do it.
  • I just started BB on mOnday! Love it:smile:
  • I have not checked this thread for awhile. Please message me your results or questions. I would love to hear from you.

Like the OP said, she is looking for people doing the program. Not advice from someone who is interested in the "simplest, easiest, least time consuming programming possible." ... whatever that even means. It seems there are threads better suited for you.

To the OP... I finished the program, and loved it. I see there are many MFP women on board, perhaps I will go a second round with you! I got awesome results, and felt amazing... still do!
  • Started fresh again with Body Beast this morning. Day 1~Build, Chest/Tri. Please share what day you are on.
