Cannot sleep unless I get up n eat carbs n crap,

    Big problem for me in the past. I'd just stay up and eat myself to sleep.

    Still fight the urge. I told my doctor about the problem and she gave me a medication to knock me out ! I just took it for a few days until I got into a more normal sleep pattern and now I'm okay. If I have stressful stuff come up, I'll start trying to do it, but I have NOTHING worth crap- eating on in my house anymore. At least not enough to do too much damage. So, I wander around looking and finally go watch t.v. which puts me to sleep in about 5 minutes.

    You could try melatonin, too. For me it's as if my body and mind can't settle down so I use the carbs to medicate myself to sleep, so it's better to use a natural hormone that our bodies may just not be producing enough of. Here is an interesting article :

    Maybe when you wake up you could try eating some of these foods instead of the carbs and especially instead of the crap :heart:

    I know how awful it is, especially if it goes on and on....keep working on it and you will find a solution
