New mom looking for support on my weight loss journey

I just had my second baby girl! Between the kids and the few pounds I was carrying around before pregnancy, I need to lose roughly 100 pounds. EEK! I am intimidated by that number, however, I am so miserable and tired of not living my life to the fullest because of my weight. Any other moms with a significant amount of weight to lose? Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to my weight loss!

Congrats on your daughter. I just had my first baby, a girl, in Janaury. I gained 28 lbs with her. I've lost half but now, 4 months later, looking to lose the other half of my baby weight plus some.
I know how difficult it is to A) find time to exercise and B) not be a stress eater....
You can do it! Hang in there momma!! =)

Hey I am 23 and just had my second little girl 7 weeks ago. My girls are 12 months and 11 days part so needless to say there was almost no time to try to lose the 60 plus pounds I gained with the first one and the second one I gained about 30. Now I want to lose that and then some. would love to have some mommy friends that are going to understand the challenges of fitting myself in with 2 little ones to look after. PLease feel free to add me!!!

Nice to meet all of you :) I'm happy to see there are other moms dealing with motherhood and weight loss, it is quite the battle sometimes lol. How do you find time to exercise? Between play dates for my older one, house chores and taking care of a newborn I'm really worried about fitting some exercise in. I stay at home and I swear for me it's harder not to eat all day long :/ Any tips?

Yes! Mother of 4 here....youngest is 2 years old. She was a tough delivery....preemie....and a long story. But I managed to diet and stress myself up about 20 extra pounds on top of the 30 to lose after her delivery!! It is so difficult as a mom to be consistent and stay fit and healthy. Sometimes you just want to sleep! Or watch them sleep!!
I am new to this website/app. I have no friends on here.....so I could use the support myself!
    Cheers!

Hi yes it is hard!! I have 3 girls, you just want to eat.......
But you have to realize that your body only need a certain amount of food and a certain kind
Try to find out what your body needs and how much try to eat real slow chew chew chew
Only drink water and green or white teas ok and a cup of much needed coffee no sugars if you use sugar in your tea and coffee start putting less every time
Beware of your enemy !!! your taste buds ! Do not eat for them !
Taste buds are bad they are like that bully in grade school that would start trouble but never get any trouble !!!
So you see cake you want it NO your taste buds do and they are grounded !!
Your body dose not want cake probably it wants water
And walk walk walk it is good take the baby in the stroller do some squats and lunges on your walk (when no ones looking)
And if you fall off the wagon just get out of the way so it doesn't run you over!!!
Take naps it is legal !!!

HI! Congratulations on your baby! I am 42 and had three children aged 25, 21, and 19. My fourth child was born in August.. This past August of 2012! I had lost the baby weight as a young 20 something with all the others very quickly but this time around I gained 65 pounds while pregnant and only lost 16 of them at the hospital after the birth of my son. I was a 170 lb, 5'5" 42 year old at a complete loss of how to lose weight because it had never been an issue before. I got serious about losing the weight right away but my baby had other intentions.. he was and still is a very hands on, dependent bundle of energy. He requires much of my time and he doesn't require much sleep. So I wasn't able to truly get busy until January.. but since then I have lost 20 pounds and have another 20 to go. I don't have to give up things I love but more importantly I just actually eat a SERVING of it! And we get out and walk alot! I am sticking to close to 1200 calories a day with the majority of my fat and carb percentages being eaten prior to 4pm. Dinners tend to be light and full of protein including fish or chicken or turkey along with a broth based light soup, salad with light dressing or a spritzer and veggies galore. Ms. Dash is a super help for flavor. For soup.. a cheaper alternative to the canned ones at the store is to find a recipe you like and just make big pots of it! Try eating your potatoes/noodles/rices for lunch if you must have them and be sure to measure!!! Good luck and add me if you would like!

Congrats on the new baby! Feel free to add me if you want. I have a 7yo and I'm finally losing the baby weight. Don't think of it as 100lbs to go, break it down into smaller goals. Those numbers are easier to reach and it'll make you feel good to hit the small goals on the way to the ultimate goal!

I'm an old Momma, my baby will be 2 on the 13th of this month and my daughter will be 10 on the 19th of this month, but I still struggle with the same everyday issues as if I was a new mom. Can definitely use motivational moms support and be a support if anyone wants to add me.
