How do you keep your daily intake of carbs low?

II've hit a major plateau :-(
So I have a daily intake of 1200 calories and it's telling me I should have about 105 g of carbs per day. I'm doing well eating clean but I seem to always go over on the carb intake. Most of the carbs are coming from fruits, vegetables and beans. I really want to get the carbs down but by the same token I don't want to be miserable and eating plain pieces of chicken breakfast lunch and dinner.
Any suggestions on how to lower the carb or even if my carb target right now is appropriate?
HELP!!

I eat lots and lots of fat lol. That's how I keep the carb count low. Also, there are other low carb friendly foods other than just plain old cuts of meat.
However, personally I don't care much for variety so eating plain chicken never bothers me lol.0 -
If most of your carbs are coming from vegetable sources I personally wouldnt worry too much about it as long as you are getting enough protein. I always try to get more protein and its pretty easy, good luck. Its amazing how a great salad adds up in carbs. As long as you understand the types of carbs. Have fun with it.0

I've always had an issue with carbs....since I don't like sweets - carbs are my downfall. However, I've just been really paying attention to those and to sodium lately and trying to get it under control. It's a struggle for me as well.0

1200 calories is probably your problem.0

meats and cheeses have low carb content. almond flour can be substituted for regular flour. Stevia can be substituted for sugar or sweetener at no cost to carbs. cauliflower, broccoli, avocado and zucchini are great low carb veggies. You can even make cauliflower mashed "potatoes". There are plenty of good low-carb, no-carb recipe websites.0

The carbs from veggies and fruits and beans aren't usually too worrisome. It's more the starchy carbs that will sneak up and attack you. But yeah, it's still a challenge finding that balance, isn't it? Personally, I'm not 100% there yet either. But I'm finding that if I focus on planning a meal around a protein, focus on making sure the protein amount is higher, then the space left over for carbs is lower. Mostly, I've just stopped having pasta or rice with every single meal, lol.0

This is just a thought- but if your calorie count has been 1200 for awhile like say a month? You may need to up it. Shake it up for a week or so with more food. Maybe your body needs a change up. Like I said just a thought.0

You are doing great. Don't be too worried from carbs from fruits and veggies. Limit intake of processed flour, pasta, etc. those turn to sugar. Great stuff if you are extremely active but if you live a relative non-active life, you don't need those carbs or sugar.
Here's to your total well-being.0
