Running Dilemma ...

Hey guys,

I started running about 5 months ago and I love it, but I can't run much longer than 15 minutes because my chest gets very sore. I'm a 36F and I've gone through tons of sports bras, but none of them support me that good. I've tried a size bigger and a size smaller, but nothing works. I'm out of ideas, can anyone give me some tips or suggestions on a good sports bra?

I have a Nike one that works pretty well. Also, shockingly enough, my Old navy compressions bras aren't bad. I ended up taking back a Moving Comfort bra after discovering the Old navy ones worked well enough. Moving Comfort and Under Armour bras are pricey, but the ones I tried on had pretty good support. My problem is, unless I get one that is sized (not SML), then the fit is weird because I'm a 32D, so a small fits perfectly, band wise, but is tight in the boobs. I just go with that because the tight helps with the jiggle! ;) And, I want a "cute" sports bra, even though I mostly workout in my basement, so I don't like the sports bras that have a band with a clasp. I know that's silly, but it is what it is. Another thing that helps me on runs is I wear my most supportive bra, and then pair that with a workout tank that has a built in shelf bra that is tight fitting as well.

When I started running, I was a 42DDD. I started out by wearing an underwire bra with two cheap stretchy sports bras over top. They got the job done. Very little bounce and I had lots of support.

I got down to a 38DD and bought a Moving Comfort bra - it was awesome! I'm now a 36C and still wearing (another) Moving Comfort. They are definitely my go-to brand.

I like the Nike sports bra with one of the old navy compression bras over top... it may be overkill, but it really works!

i'm a 34C/D, down from a 36D. I've heard that wearing 2 sportsbras helps. I would wear the one with the least support underneath and the heavy one over it.

    Good Luck...

If you go into any running store (fleet feet is awesome - if you have one of those) They will fit you for a sports bra designed to strap those ladies down while you run! :o)

I was an F when I started running and never had an issue. I wear Moving Comfort. When I was larger, I liked this one (ordered a DD cup size and a step up in band size since they didn't come in my size and it worked well): http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/MCL323/

Now that I'm 'only' a DD, I wear this model: http://www.roadrunnersports.com/rrs/products/MCL217/

Another people recommend a lot is the Ta Ta Tamer but I've never tried that one.

I am a 38DD and I love LULULEMON and CHAMPION both of them with support and broches on back. Make sure they have maximum support coverage.

I guess we are all in the two bras for running club. I usually wear and underwire support bra and a compression sports bra to keep the ladies from bouncing all over.
