Exercise and calories

Hello all, I've been using MFP for almost two years, but haven't posted on the forums yet. So hello!
My question is, when I exercise, do I add those calories back into my daily intake? When I'm trying to lose weight my thought is to not add them back in, but when I hit my goal and I want to maintain, add them in then.
Thoughts/advice?

I've always been told to add the calories I burn during exercise and eat them back. I have done this the last 3 months and have successfully lost weight.0

Why don't you try adding them back in and seeing how that works for a couple of weeks. If you don't lose weight then cut some of them out.0

It depends on how you set up your profile and how much exercise you're doing. If you set your activity level to sedentary (most people do) and burn off 600 calories extra a day, then you should probably be eating the extra calories to keep your body from losing muscle and stalling. If you set your activity level to active then you probably don't want to eat those calories since they're already included in MFP's calculations.0

Thanks everyone. I will continue to add them back in and see what results I get.0
