Cocoa butter cream?

Recently I added dry brushing (4-6 times a day) and a Nivea Body Lotion Cream... After about a week and a half, I'm getting a rash. Either I'm allergic to something in the cream, or I'm using too much at a time/brushing too hard? Anyway... As I have some nasty stretchmarks, I wanted to switch to Cocoa Cream which is meant to be good for stretchmarks? BUT is it also good for help tightening skin?
Also because I have these stretchmarks, does it mean I'm already doomed to have the loose skin? My peak was 17 stone (I now weigh 14.5 ) My goal is 12. I'm just worried as I'm sure most are. I was hoping to put some decent muscle on aswell.
If anyone can provide some info I'll appreciate it

you're way over doing it. dry brushing is a 2x a day thing at the MOST. you need to let your skin recover and it can't do that if you're assaulting it every 4-6 hours.0

How long have you had the stretch marks? Having stretch marks does not mean you will have loose skin. It just depends on the severity. I'd have to see a picture. I got stretch marks in the 38th week of my pregnancy (almost made it to the end!) and they faded over the course of a year until they were invisible to everyone except me. Then, I let myself gain a crapload of weight over a 5 month period and got more. I assume it will take a year for those to fade as well, but I never used creams, topical ointments or brushing. I think all of those things are pointless.0

dynamitegalxo - Gotcha, 2 times a day, I over did it a bit lol
Ashshell - Here's a pic, I warn you, it's not pretty ok haha
And I've had stretch marks I think for maybe 6-7 years or something, can't really remember, mainly a guess. I do hope to get a 6-pack or some time later as I've been doing a lot of weightlifting and I'm really liking it.
Thanks for the replies.0 -
In my experience, stretch marks can't be cured. They come from weight gain and losses. The good news is that they generally fade over time and can become almost unnoticeable. Cocoa butter works as a good moisturizer though.0

It looks like you could easily tone that up, but I could be wrong. I can't poke it and jiggle it around to assess the damage like I do my own, so I'm not sure.
Stop worrying so much about the stretch marks and work on toning it up. Once you tighten the loose skin, the marks won't be as noticeable anyway. I'm not sure how you feel about tanning (I know it's horrible), but it makes my stretch marks look muuuuch better.
Edited to add: Don't be so hard on yourself. It really isn't that bad!0 -
While cocoa butter may help with scars by keeping the top layer of skin moisturized, stretch marks and other scars go much deeper than the top layer. Any product or method that will actually help get rid of stretch marks must be able to penetrate deeper than skin's top layer, such as laser removal.

herblackwings - Thanks, I know they will never go unfortunately but I wasn't sure how effective Cocoa butter was though or if it was even the best. I'll buy some when I'm in town next, thanks (:
Ashshell - I do hope so, it will take time and patience but I will definitely try. I would say my stomach jiggles quite a lot it was/is where most of the fat was/is stored so... Thanks for your very helpful and confidence boosting replies!
I'll post this one of my side anyway. still got quite a bit to lose I think:
