Good Day!

I was wondering if you can burn off excess calories you had the day before?

I am already in a good diet plan together with regular exercise, but sadly I took this day off from heavy exercise and just did a 30 min. Yoga. I had McDonald's Fries in the late afternoon, and was surprised after logging it in MFP, I exceed 1000 calories from my daily goal. The night is about to end, and I'm about to do a run by tomorrow morning.

Thank you for your response. :)

1000, seems like a lot to burn in one day maybe burn an extra 100-200 calories for a few days.

please don't beat yourself up over the chippies:) forget about that and start a new day eat a little better and just increase your intensity when you workout that day. ive been through this and its like a never ending cycle enjoy cheat food but do not make it a regular thing. i had a huge slice of cheesecake last night is was soooo goood.

So it's still possible to burn out the excess calories I had during the day?

I think most people look at their weight loss over a week, and in that instance, it will be your weekly calorie total that matters most, not your daily total.

As eringrace suggested, just try to burn off a few more calories each day if you feel bad about it. It will balance out.

Oh yeah, I forgot, that it's the weekly calorie intake that matters the most! Thank you so much Rarity2013.
