    That is an amazing moment, and one to be proud of.

    I haven't done a race yet, but when I first went to the public running times at the local running room I was nervous of holding people up, wasting their mornings etc. I was blown away with just how friendly, supportive, motivating, encouraging and all around NICE the runners are. Your story of the encouragement received during your race confirms that.
