I use Trip Advisor for all my traveling, what little bit I do.0

Depends on what kind of vacation you want.
Maybe an all inclusive or something with more adventure? Here is a popular all inclusive. www.hedonism.com0 -
My mother swears by www.smarttours.com. She has done 5 vacations with them and she loves them in fact she is getting ready to do another vacation with them this month. I have never personally used them since I never go anywhere (2 young kids at home), but my mom used to be a travel agent so I trust her judgement. Good luck.0

If you're looking for last minute vacation:
http://www.expedia.com/p/multi-deal/last-minute.htm
A great site about travel culture through out the world:
http://matadornetwork.com/
Lonely Planet has wonderful advice, suggestions, hotel deals that you can't find other places and really cool filters so you can find exactly what you're looking for.
Once you find a place you think you might like to stay, Trip Advisor will have most useful reviews.0 -
I trust tripadvisor for reviews, and you can even ask people questions about their experiences. Do you have any ideas about where to go?0

I second this, and yelp for reviews.0 -
Totally depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for an all-inclusive package type thing, there are tonnes of sites. I like expedia and travelocity, but I always check reviews at tripadvisor before booking.0

we have never gone anywhere. so are very open. but we are hoping hot, beaches, relaxing, tropical.0 -
Are you thinking USA or international?0

so we booked
Cuba! Smile at Husa Cayo Santa Maria
Any tips about cuba? We have been told to bring little goodies and gifts as tips, instead of money. and to buy the sunscreen there because ours is probably not good enough.
any other tips? remember, we have never travelled, so all tips are good tips!0
