Ways to boost metabolisim?

Hi so ive altered my calorie intake to what mfp said which is 1510 calories per day (i now know to eat them back on this calculation) Soooo im just after ways to give my metabolisim a kick up the backside and get its self going again.
Was on plateau for 4 weeks recently broke it losing 1lb and 3/4 but now weight loss stalling AGAIN so frustrating. Just after some ideas on how to get metabolisim moving so i can hit my goal by my target date!

Supposedly eating more frequently helps. I eat three normal meals and then usually have a healthy morning snack around 10am and an afternoon snack around 3pm.
I'm also a big fan of interval training -- (ie. walk 5 minutes, jog 1, sprint 30 seconds repeat) -- a lot of Jillian Michaels' workout are more or less interval training and you can find a lot of them free on youtube. One of my favorites is actually called "Banish Fat and Boost Metabolism" -- it's no joke, but I feel a HUGE sense of accomplishment once I finish it!0 -
- 20 minutes of HIIT training before breakfast
- plus regular movement throughout the day (e.g. quick lunchtime walk)
- Drink ice-cold water all day
- lift weights
- get lots of sleep
- take fish oil supplements
- drink green tea0 -
You can only boost your metabolism by increasing your muscle mass so your body needs more fuel to function. Unless you've been on some horrific starvation diet for years your metabolism is the same as it always was and isn't likely to change without increasing muscle.0

Your best bet for keeping metabolism revved: Build muscles, snack on high-protein foods , and keep moving!
And, it has been said eating spicy foods (peppers etc.) boost the metabolism, but thats only short lived.0 -
Thanks for replies i do HIIT dvds i.e Jillian. I also do it when walking with pram. Hard to get lots of sleep with 3 month old baby (shes started sleeping through but not every time)
I eat 3 meals per day have snack mid morn and mid afty usually fruit or yoghurt.
Love spicy food so eat fair amount of it I eat as clean as possible.
Usually moving around most of the day as house to run and 2 little ones
Trying to do more strength training im deffo gettin stronger slowly.
I drink cold water can't stand luke warm water erghhh
Will look into green tea i quite like it and il look at the Jillian workouts on you tube

No, no it doesn't. Meal timing and frequency are irrelevant.
