Is your hip measurement (measured around the largest part of glutes) greater or smaller than your chest measurement (at nipples)?

Hip: 40.5"
Chest: 44"
Shoulder: 51.75" (my favorite measurement)
I don't squat, per se. For my legs I do leg presses to save my back.'

Hips 41, chest 46, shoulders 51.
I don't squat anymore due to lumbar and shoulder surgery (I can't stretch my arm back to hold the bar, nor can I barbell bench press). I use the safety squat machine, leg press and deadlifts.0 -

The golden ratio, shoulders to waist is 1.625; e.g. 52" shoulders, 32" waist . The Greek ratio is a 7" drop for chest to hip.0 -

Mine is at 1.63...but still got love handles that are tood damn stubborn. I think the ratio is off because I have really broad shoulders that make up for a larger waist.0 -

Yeah, those are on-paper ratios. There are all kinds of charts that show "ideal proportions". I think the mirror is the best guide. That and how many "ay papi!'s you get.0 -

My chest is 6-7" larger than my hips, and 11" larger than my waist. And yes I do squat. BWx1.8 for sets of 4 reps. larger upper body relative to lower body seems to be mostly genetics for me.0

It helps that I'm 6'4 and that my favorite part to work out is my shoulders. But for that same reason, I was able to conceal my fat and believe that others said that "I looked fine". Since when is being close to 300lbs constitue as looking fine? Goes to show you that it's so easy to let yourself go.0 -

However, I think the majority of my chest circumference actually comes from my lats :laugh: Looks like my genetics want me to have a mega squat booty and minimal chest. Oh well, keep smashing it until my genes start to agree with me0 -
