Mixing whey..

Hey good folk of mfp.
I mix a scoop of vanilla whey protein into greek yoghurt as part of my mid morning snack.. So far I have been taking them into work in seperate containers and then mixing together. Its proving to be a little time consuming to try and mix it well then eat and have my tea within 15 mins. My question is, would there be any harm mixing it either the night before and storing in the fridge or even that morning and storing it in the fridge? I guess I was just doing it this way as I would alwyas mix my shake right away rather than leave it sitting for ages. Thanks in advance.

I don't think that should be an issue. I usually put a shake that I made in the fridge and let it sit until I need, but its not like it absorbed the water or anything like that. The only thing I can think of that will give you that problem is phylum fiber which if left too long, will definitely make a shake into jello consistency...not yummy. So making it in the morning or the night before shouldn't be that much of a problem. Just make sure you close the container completely or it has a hint of fridge taste, which isn't super appetizing.0

I've never had an issue mixing it prior into yogurt and letting it sit in the fridge for a while before eating. I have found with protein shakes they get a bit thicker when they are left to sit but that may just be due to the powder I was using.0
