I am a bit sore nothing to bad just a good kind of sore. It wouldn't be a bad thing to go ahead and workout today would it? I am not going to be working the same muscles.

    Worked on the yard for 2 hours last night - could barely move - then I went to the gym. I survived - actually felt good for a bit. I slept like crap though and woke up hurting, but whatever - back to the gym tonight.

    It's fine to work out if you just have some soreness - it should improve it in fact.

    I workout when sore then sit in sauna for five mins after, then I'm fine :)

    The rule I apply to myself is that if it is an "injury", then I rest it, but if it is just "soreness"/'stiffness", then I work-out (through it).

    This is how I look at it...

    Sore = Workout :cry:

    Hurt = REST :sad:

    go for it. Like the others said, it will help with the soreness...it hurts so good
  • As long as you don't overdo it , I think it's fine. It sometimes actually makes the soreness go away

    it's fine. just be sure to do a full warmup with stretching and then a full cool down.

    Me too. When I am especially sore I may do some stretches first to help loosen it all up. It makes a difference.

    I did legs today and I'm always sore the next day.

    I run tomorrow and will run anyways.

    Pretty much 100% of the time, if I'm sore after a leg day and I run, within a half mile, I feel great and am not sore the following day.
  • Yes. Drink water when exercising and always stretch. Soreness is a buildup of lactic acid in the muscles. Stretching & water helps me a great deal.

    i remember reading somewhere that working out with DOMS actually reduced the levels of cortisol released during that ensuing training.

    Don't stretch cold muscles, it can actually reduce muscle strength and and has no benefit at reducing injury. Any warmed up stretches should be dynamic as opposed to static as well.
