    1-2lbs/week is perfectly normal.

Keep in mind that trying to lose too much too quickly by having a larger deficit will increase the amount of your losses coming from muscle mass and water instead of fat.

With only 20lbs left to go it's ideal to choose 0.5lbs per week... no higher than 1lb per week until you hit 10lbs left.

This is my question...if i am eating adequate protein, along with stregnth training, wont any muscle breakdown be rebuilt anyway? especially if i time my protein around my exercise and concentrate on longer duration lower intensity cardio when not lifting?

and this... http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0004377 if i am interprting correctly says calorie restriction with exercise is fine in trained individuals? (im not a beginner at weight loss, lol)

You will be perfectly fine, you shouldnt be holding much water weight due to prolonged dieting and you wont lose much muscle if you are strength training.
