depends - if your body shots the chemicals through you or if it wraps em in fat and stores em cause it doesnt know what else to do with them.
I personally think that energy drinks are no better then soda, same sugar content, same bad chemicals when they are sugar free. Energy drinks have also been know to cause heart attacks.
I have no idea what else you could use as a "pick me up". if its for the energy maybe a better sleep routine, drink more water and possibly more fruit and veg.
sorry if its not much help0 -
Personally, I would skip the energy drinks. Too much caffeine is bad for you and usually energy drinks load up on a lot of sugar. I have PCOS so too much sugar is a no no for me. Weight loss is about calories in vs calories out, so i would advise not to drink your calories all the time.
Water is always the healthier option. If you don't like the bland taste of water, : ) Try making some interesting spritz with it like adding slices of lemon and mint leaves or grapefruit. My favourite low cal beverage Iced green tea with some lemonade. So you can slowly adjust the "juice" or the syrups out over time to get use to the flavours0 -
they are just a chemical cocktail.... I dont drink that stuff at all. Its just junk. But it depends what your goals are. If you genuinely like them and dont want to give them up, thats your choice entirely. I like to eat clean and not have sugar or artificial sweetner. But everyone is different0

I cut them entirely. However I gained about 30 pounds from energy drinks pretty much0

Trash em, Energy drinks contain so many chemicals and junk that your body doesnt use0

For those stating that they're really bad... What about the ones w/ only 10 calories? (low/no sugar)
How can these be as bad as a soda? If they're that bad too.. where would you suggest to get extra energy?
Looking at the nutritional facts I do see a ton of vitamins/aminos mentioned, and of course some items I can't pronounce in the Ingredients, but I guess I'm not understanding how these chemicals are any worse than the others we subject ourselves to when not eating 100% clean (i.e. preservatives). I guess everything in moderation is the key though, right?
Not trying to start a debate... I really just want to know for my own good because I'll have about 1 giant Monster Low Carb every couple weeks or so and so now I'm curious.0 -
wont make you gain weight, but it is crap and its soda, and it will rot the crap out of your teeth.

i think, for the most part, if I was lacking energy to the point where I think I need a remedy, I'd start looking at my sleeping patterns, or what I was eating/not eating, my activity level. If I am getting enough sleep, eating appropriately, and getting regular exercise... but still feel the need for an "energy drink" I might go see a Dr.
(ok for the record I live alone, no children to run after so... i guess parents are just perpetually exhausted lol. maybe they do need the energy drinks)0 -

Switch to monster ultra zero. It tastes much better. The ultra blue is pretty good, too. Tastes like blueberries.0
