I know this sounds bad, but I am having a really hard time getting to 1200 calories a day. I can't eat that much food. Does anyone have any tips for adding calories with out feeling like I am eating too much?

    Fruit.

Fruit is quite high in calories but exceedingly good for you. Try berries like blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, chomp on an apple or a banana.

These things are all quite high in calories, good for you and you won't feel like you're cheating.

Other alternatives, try various nuts/seeds, again fairly good for you and doesn't feel like you're cheating.

:) have faith, you will balance out eventually.

avocado, very good for you and high in calories. A spoonful of peanut butter, hummus with special K multigrain crackers.

Eat higher calorie stuff. You can do it. It's a matter of playing with your meals until you get it where it needs to be. Peanut butter, nuts, yogurt, and milk are good for adding calories and nutrition.

Think of food as fuel. If you don't eat enough, you won't have the fuel you need to keep going. Most of the time we are just AFRAID to eat--afraid that whatever goes in our mouth will go right to our hips or waists. All of the suggestions you are getting are really good ones. Just don't be afraid.

Hmm maybe I will trying doing a fruit smoothie in the mornings again instead of coffee. Thanks all. I have just been feeling like I am adding food to meet a number not because I am actually hungry.
