Add to the list - avocados, and if you can find a protein powder with low carbs per serving that might help as well. (I tend to stick with Pure Protein - vanilla because it's cheap and I can consistently find it at Walmart. The carbs aren't too bad, and the protein is 25 g per scoop, so it makes a great protein boost when I need it.) And, of course... meat, meat, meat if you enjoy meats. If you prefer vegetarian, not so sure on sources, though I have heard tofu tossed around from time to time.
Use full fat products - whole milk (or better yet - heavy whipping cream for mixers), real butter, full fat salad dressings (bleu cheese, caesar's, etc.)
Umm... can't think of much else off the top of my head. I'm sure there are others that I just don't know about.0 -
Thanks for the tips0

My trusted favourite 2 foods - peanut butter and bacon... not together although some would
I love peanut butter off the spoon!0 -
Adam's Natural Unsalted Peanut Butter is great!
Almonds, olive oil, a couple of glasses of unsweetened almond milk, and low fat/non fat Greek yogurt are great too.0 -
Check out my daily meals. I eat peanut butter (the store has a machine that presses it right in front of you as well as almond butter too. So you know it's fresh) I eat avocados everyday.0

Definitely. If you are restricting carbs, then you have to replace it with something. And, replacing it with fat is the easiest way to do it. It IS possible to do it with protein, but it's a little harder because you have to eat MORE, and sometimes there just isn't room to stuff another bite down!0
