Anybody from London?

Hi guys!

I'll be visiting London this weekend so I have a small question. Does anybody know from what time in the morning is the tube running? My flight back is on Monday morning and I have a shuttle to the airport leaving at 05.00 am from Liverpool Street. So I have to get to Liverpool Street before 5.00. Is that possible with public transport or should I plan for a taxi?
Thanks!

I'm not from London but I lived there for three years. When I was there the tube was pretty much a twenty four hour service. If you're catching the shuttle at 05:00 am then the tube is definitely the best way to. It's quicker, the times between two trains are very short, so if you miss one there'll be one within 3 minutes or so and it's cheap. Taxis are not as reliable and cost way more.

The earliest tubes start running again at around 5.30am, so you wont make it in time. But they have buses that run all night, you should be able to find a route with them although they will take a lot longer than the tube between destinations so make sure you look it up in plenty of advance.

if there's no tube there's probably a night bus. the main bus routes run 24/7. If you have to get to Liverpool Street station there's almost certainly a night bus that goes there.. question is whether you live close to the night bus route or if you'd have to change buses, which would be a pain in the rear and take a lot of time.
