Hi! My name is Therese. I am a stay at home mom and I have over 60 pounds to lose. I gained back all of the baby weight I lost after my 2nd was born. So far I have lost a little bit of weight logging my calories and what i have eaten each day. What an awesome tool! Saturday was my anniversary (9 years!) and I didn't log in any calories for the day. But I am driven this time because I would like to get pregnant again soon! I don't want to go into another pregnancy with all this weight.
I am a vegetarian, and would like to go stricter- vegan, but not sure if I can stick to it with cooking for the rest of my family! So logging in my calories has been a good starting place for me just to see all the crap I've been eating!!
Anyway, I'm glad I found this place.

It sure does get me motivated to lose weight! I keep reminding myself why I want to lose the weight so I think about it when I have temptation in my path!
Are you vegan/trying to go vegan? Or if not, how do you not over eat the cheesy stuff!? I was amazed at the calories when I started logging them here!0 -
So glad to see you here &trying so hard- ME TOO! I am a SAHM as well & it can have its challenges with food choices & excerise! Good luck! We do have lots in common & I think support & encouragment are DEFINITE keys to reaching our goals! Good luck! XO0

New here too! and also a SAHM! I do daycare from home but still a SAHM! I am at my heaviest and have a lot to lose. My DH and I are also dying to get pregnant. We just recently suffered our 6th miscarriage. I have PCOS which makes getting pregnant AND weight loss all that much harder but I'm determined to get it off and realize our dream. My son is going to be 13 in 3 weeks and we've been trying for another since he was 5. The weight just keeps piling on and I've had enough! I'm not getting any younger and it's not getting any easier so this time "It's on like Donkey Kong" with this weight!
Good Luck to you!0 -
Welcome! I am a SAHM as well... who quickly lost pg weight and then gained it ALL back (plus a bit!). I'm trying to get back down to my pre-pg weight (from over 4 years ago!) and then drop some more too... but I would be ecstatic to get pg long before reaching any of those goals.
Not a vegetarian here... but trying to throw in some more meat-free options, both for healthier eating and to help out the budget!0 -
Hi, I too am a SAHM. The last baby I gave birth to is 10 and I still haven't lost the weight. I enjoy exercise but food is my big downfall. I'm hoping this will help me get on track...yesterday was my first day.
One thing I'm trying that might work for you is Cabbage soup. Have you heard of the "Cabbage Soup Diet"? I'm just using the recipe and eating the soup as a supplement not as a full "diet". I'll have it for lunch and as an appetizer before supper. It's a great, quick way to eat more veggies and fill up. If you changed the beef stock to veggie stock it would work for your vegetarian lifestyle.0
