Yeah i am 5'7" and it says I should weigh from 120 to 150, I don't think that 120 area would look good on me in any way shape or form, I found this site that gives you different ideal weights based on different factors. My goal is in the 145 lbs range with a decent amount of muscle.

The BMI healthy range is a broad as it is because it ostensibly applies to the entire human population at a given height and was never intended to be equally applicable at every point to every individual. I'm also a 5'7" female, but of the small framed, slightly built, semi-ectomorphic sort. At my most fit and with a decent amount of muscle (~ 30 years ago) I weighed around 130 pounds, and have never weighed much more than that without looking pudgy. Currently I weigh 123 pounds and would love to get back up to 130 if I can do it by lifting weights and eating protein, not eating cookies.

What height weight chart says someone that is 5'1" should only weigh 116lbs? This one has the upper range at 140:

And a lot of people will even exceed that and not be fat if they are very athletic.

OP: Why do you feel like you should be aiming at precisely the middle of the BMI range? Up to 25 is normal. If you went for 25, that'd have you weighing 132. The high end of the range is precisely for heavier muscled people.
I've really only seen the chart that stated the middle i guess and didn't give a range. So I wasn't sure what the healthy range was. I just kind of created my own.

Also, honest question. Are you trying to come off with an excuse to NOT lose weight?
No if I wanted to not lose weight I would simply give up. For everyone else who's going don't look at the eight go by inches and how you feel. I do get how that works because at the height of my fitness I only lost 2 lbs in a year but lost like 8 inches. I was just wondering if any body else had the issue of they're body type and their amount of muscle going against the ideal body type. And I am not exactly sure where I got those numbers because I saw them sometime back in high school anywhere from 3 to 7 years ago and they could be changed. I'm not sure.
