Can anyone tell me why a Starbucks fat free Venti Latte is 170 calories? I would think just coffee and skim milk would be low ( no sugar)

I usually get the Iced/Hot Skinny Vanilla lattte - Tall only 90 calories. They have a nutrition calculator on their website and phamplets at their stores to check out the info.

A venti is 24 oz. That's a lot of milk. 1 oz skim milk is about 10 calories. Factor in how much of that is espresso, and that seems right.
  • A latte is almost completely milk (a shot of espresso is a very small amount of liquid). If you fill up a venti cup with milk it will absolutely be at least 170 calories.

Exactly. It's a lot of milk and only 3oz of espresso.

My tall non fat lattes are 90 calories, latte's are mostly milk and a wee bit of the coffee.

Get a cappuccino instead of a latte and it will be less calories (less milk more foam still yummy)

Milk has calories...even fat free milk.

You can also get their regular brewed coffee and add just a little milk or half/half to it. It's a lot lower in calories.
