A Mini Success

THis isn't a HUGE thing for many, but I' was so happy/relieved/a little proud of this so I feel like I had to share :) One of my first goals in losing weight is to be healthy as my husband and I will want to have kids in the future. Diabetes runs in the family and with me being really overweight, there was a good chance that I might get the disease. Especially if I got pregant. I took a fasting blood sugar test and had other tests done(cholesterol, sodium, creatine, etc). I honestly was frightened. I am 5'1" over 200lbs so I was sure that everything was going to be too high. I got my results yesterday and everything was within normal range!!! I have lost some weight since March, but I didn't notice a difference in clothing or size. This is one mini success that just confirms the committment I put into this lifestyle change is working. My body fat percentage is still shameful, but that's why this is a mini success....I'm getting healthier :)

Girl, every success is still a success. Getting healthy isn't an easy task, but nowing that you are on the right track makes it easier doesn't it?? And hey, you're doing a million times better than someone who isn't making an effort at all...

Think of it that way :-)
