"i did notice that my hips looks a lot smaller."
Stop focusing on the scale and focus on measurements! If you notice your measurements are getting smaller the scale will catch up! DO NOT LOWER YOUR INTAKE IF YOU ARE HAVING NOTICEABLE CHANGES WHERE YOUR AT!!
You also stated you lowered intake and quit exercising so much.....I would rather you ate and exercised more...it will make you HEALTHIER which is way more important than lighter! Cutting calories and exercise will net the same...and be less healthy in the long run!0 -

This is the key phrase. The scale isn't always the best indicator when taken by itself. You have to evaluate your goals. Are you trying to lose weight, or fat? If your hips were noticeably smaller, then that is an indication that while you might not have been losing weight, you were losing fat. Depending on what kind of exercise you do, it's possible that the scale was reflecting a slight muscle gain. The scale will also reflect water retention. Take body measurements, and let that be the main indicator of fat loss, while using only occasional scale measurements as an indicator of overall weight loss. Eating too few calories won't help with either one. Make sure that you are at a moderate calorie deficit, and that you are consistent with both your dietary and exercise habits/tracking.0 -

The scale goes up and down ..... don't trust the scale. I could be you had a high sodium day, it could be your time of the month .... it could be a number of things.
Measure a couple key areas .... are your pant looser. I could easily be your hips ARE smaller.
Lowering your calories too much might not have the effect you are looking for. Often too low calories makes a plateau even longer. Keep up the exercise .... it's good for losing inches.0 -

My scale hasn't moved in a month and a half. I gain muscle (heavier than fat), and still loose fat, thus little weight change. And not something to be concerned about. If you want to see changes take measurements, muscle takes up less room than fat. And DO NOT down your calories, your going to slow your process, your muscles need those nutrients.0 -
At 19 years old, 1500 calories might not be enough. Most 19 year old girls I know have a higher metabolic rate than that. Generally, you want to eat between your BMR and TDEE. So it's possible you need to add another 300+ calories. So I ask, what are your stats and exercise routine.0

While I agree that muscle takes up less room, the ability to gain new lean body mass while on a calorie deficit is virtually impossible. The general exceptions are morbidly obese and complete noobs to exercise/fitness (they tab out at 1-2 lbs of new growth). The more likely scenario is water retention is masking weight loss.0 -

How about height and weight? Also, I would suggest using the dance as your cardio and then the other 3 days do some heavy weight training. Weight training will improve your chances of maintain your muscle, which will lead to a leaner and tighter body.0 -

Your estimated metabolic rate is around 1541. I would suggest you should be eating 1850-1950 in terms of calories. Macro's I am quite fond of 40% carbs, 40% protein and 20% fats.. But still the biggest thing I would change is decrease cardio and start heavy weight training.0 -
