Allergies and Water Retention

Is this possible?
I have only had Spring allergies for the past few years and this year is the absolute worst. A pollen count of 100 is moderate, 1400 is high and my local area has been above 1500 for the past few days.
Anyweigh, the reason I ask is because I am a daily weigher. Love it. Chart it and learn from it. I have had a fairly nice progression of loss in my 100+ days on MFP. Sodium in well in check and I haven't changed up exercise recently but the last week I have been bouncing between a 6 pound range like crazy. It has to be water to be moving that much.
I'm not really concerned about this from a weight standpoint, just curious if anyone else with allergies has noticed anything like this?

Yea it can happen. I generally fluctuate a few lbs each day.0

I feel like my sinus cavity is holding at least a good 8 lbs of fluid :P I hate allergy season!0

I, too, feel like my head weighs twice as much as it normally does due to extra fluids and swelling. We have three red-zone pollen days coming up next this week with tomorrow's forecast for 2,920. God help us.0

When I asked this question the count had been over 1500 for a few days. Today it is 620 and I am literally 6 pounds lighter in 48 hours.
Unfortunately we are going back to high alert tomorrow but not 2900. OMG!0 -
