Hello, my name is Barb. Im 31 year old mom with a 16month old baby boy whom I had by csection. Im still trying to transform my body back into something that will fit into my prepregnancy jeans. I want to take good before pics but I want to take them by myself - does any body have any good tricks of getting a good photo with their digital camera, like type of mirror to use, how to stand, how to get the best angles to really see etc etc etc.... I've never lifted heavy before and I understand that the scale might not go down for me. I was 140lbs prepreg and now im about 155lbs. Im 5'9" tall. I just want to be able to see the results and from what Im hearing Im gonna need some before and after pics. Let me know how to go about getting a good pic. And please don't bother commenting if ur of no help, I don't need to hear people making fun because I don't know a good way to take a selfy. lol. Trust me, I've tried and it turns out too black, can't see parts of body, head cut off... blah blah blah. Advice only please. Thanks

I found a high place across my bedroom and did the timer thingy. It took me a few tries, but i got them. :laugh:0

Does your camera have a delay/timer? This wld be helpful and there would be no need for mirrors (which can give off a glare). Best pics to take would be front, back, both sides and for your personal view maybe will little to no clothes on. If you have not already, don't forget to measure yourself. Best of luck!0

ALmost all cameras have them now.0

I use a free standing mirror, angle it just right, and take the pic of my reflection. That works! The other thing, make sure you are wearing the same skimpy clothing in your before, and your after. It makes gigantic difference in being able to see the results that you have.0

This, if you don't have someone who would help you take the pictures. Can always add lights temporarily or try doing it during the day time and opening up the blinds to let sunlight in. It's tricky, but digital cameras are great that way so you can take as many as you need to get it right. (if you have a digi cam.)
Just make sure you do the same pose in each picture, stand up straight, don't suck in, and try to wear similar clothing. Usually people do one from the side, one from the front, and one from the back. Probably would be best to wear a swimsuit or sports bra / shorts combo to show the most progress. Best of luck to you! :flowerforyou:0 -

Yeah, if it doesn't have a timer and flash (if you don't have a bright place to take the pic), you may just need a better camera...0
