Hello! My name is Jess and I'm not new to this website. Nor am I new to diet and exercise. I just seem to lack the motivation it takes to get where I want to be. I don't yet want it bad enough I suppose but my goal is to be healthy for my future. I'm 25 years old and freshly college grad with no career on the horizon. My life is a little depressing but I'm hoping if I take control of my health and weight then everything else will fall into place. I know it might not happen the way I want it to which is fine, but I just don't want to die without trying. I'm beginning this journey weighing 250lbs which isn't even my highest weight. Last August, I began calorie counting which helped a little but I have little motivation to exercise so I lost just shy of 20 pounds by January. 20lbs is a pretty big deal so yes I am proud of myself but I've hit a wall and I can't seem to get past it. I hoping by posting on here and becoming more active on MFP I'll be able to past this wall and get where I want to be. My goal is to weigh at least 200lbs by this time next year.
Feel free to add me as a friend because quite honestly, I might need the encouragement from time to time. And I'm always up for a chat or maybe I'll be the one encouraging and that's okay too.
Here's to being healthy for my future kids and grandkids.
Here's to being healthy just for me.

Hey! Totally on the same page as you! I'm not new to MFP but I have serious motivation this time. I'm ready to truly love every bit of myself and I know I can do it through MFP and the community. As for my motivation this time...I finally got tired of quitting and starting all over again. I'm losing the weight for good and hoping there won't be anymore times I'll have to rejoin MFP and start all over again
Good luck with your journey! If you want, you can add me as a friend. I am more than happy to help support others and provide motivation!!

Hey there. Don't waste anymore time, get started. It doesn't have to be perfect. Plan some meals, Plan some exercise and do your best. I can't believe your not motivated, you already managed to lose 20lbs, I'm guessing like all of us your'e frightened of failing. You can do it. Add me as a friend if you want. I log on every day even the days I go over my calories so I can keep check on myself. There are a lot of great people on MFP. we are all on the same journey just at different stages. Get going, what you do today effects tomorrow.:flowerforyou:0

Welcome back
and congrats on taking the first step to losing weight again.
Jan 2012 I was 247lbs. I was at the dr and of course had to get on the dreaded scale. When the number popped up the dr said....you don't look to happy with that number. I said well duh who would be happy being almost 250lbs.
After that point my life was going to hell.....husband lost his job & we lost our house. But somehow by May I had lost 17lbs. That's when I joined MFP and really started counting calories and starting to exercise more. From May to Jan I lost another 60ish pounds. I ended up going back to the dr Jan of this year and was exactly 80lbs less than the year before. My dr couldn't believe my transformation. I was actually excited to get on the scale and see what it said. What woman wants to do that????
But after that I kinda gave up.....my husband decided to change his profession and now I'm almost like a single mom. I have 2 kids.....one will be 10 at the end of the month and a 5 year old plus I work full time. I ended up gaining almost 15lbs. I was 17lbs to my goal weight of 145. I now have 30lbs to go and I'm ready to kick butt!!
If you want to friend me feel free....I try to be motivational as much as I can. We all have our down days and need a little pick me up. Have fun....enjoy the ride and you'll see the rewards of all your hard work. It will motivate you even more.0
